On October 15, Dmitry Fedorov took up his duties as Marketing Director of MegaFon. He replaced Tatiana Gura, who left the company in August to pursue her own projects, the operator's press service reported.
In his new role, Fedorov will oversee marketing and brand development across all customer touchpoints. The tasks are clearly defined:
- updating the comprehensive marketing strategy;
- strengthening the company's competitive advantages;
- increasing the impact of marketing investments;
- creating a unified system where every customer contact works to build loyalty and brand value.
MegaFon's Commercial Director Dmitry Rudskikh explained: "Under Dmitry's leadership, the brand team should become a key driver in developing and promoting our tariff plans and flagship projects: Mega 5G, 'MegaFamilies,' and the virtual assistant 'Eva,' helping make each of them even more meaningful to the user."
Who is Dmitry Fedorov?
Fedorov graduated from Moscow State University of Mechanical Engineering with a degree in Economics and holds an MBA in Marketing. He has over 15 years of experience in marketing, product management, strategy, and business development.
His career began in 2009 at Nestlé Purina, where he rose from analyst to head of the sales and marketing analytics support team. From 2012 to 2016, Fedorov held several positions at Mars: he was a sales process development expert, trade investment manager, senior manager for engineering solutions in sales, and head of a customer relations team.
He then headed the revenue management, pricing, and product portfolio strategy division and was part of the global leadership team for revenue management at food producer Danone. Before joining MegaFon, Fedorov served as Managing Director for Marketing, Platforms, and E-commerce at Stoloto.
The new marketing director's resume is more of an FMCG and retail profile than a telecom one. The bet, evidently, is on transferring best brand management practices from consumer categories.
What is the scale of MegaFon's advertising budget?
In AdIndex's ranking of Russia's largest advertisers, MegaFon ranks 14th. The company's total spending on advertising in major media — TV, the internet, outdoor advertising, radio, and press — amounted to 8.3 billion rubles in 2025. The budget estimates are based on data from Mediascope, Admetrix, and Digital Budget.
This is the budget Fedorov will now manage. For the market, it is one of the country's most notable marketing portfolios.
