Putin Transfers Nestle, Auchan and Leroy Merlin Assets to L.E.V. Management
Putin's decree of September 18 transferred 31 companies into the temporary management of L.E.V. Management, including Nestle Russia, Auchan, Leroy Merlin and FM Logistic. All facilities are operating as usual.

Russian President Vladimir Putin has signed a decree transferring the assets of 31 foreign companies into the temporary management of the Moscow-based company L.E.V. Management. The document was published on the official portal for the publication of legal acts.
On the evening of September 18, temporary management was imposed on the structures of Swiss food producer Nestle, French logistics operator FM Logistic, as well as the retail chains Auchan and Leroy Merlin (formerly Leroy Merlin).
The list in the head of state's decree includes, among others, Nestle Kuban, Nestle Russia, FM Logistic Vostok, Le Monlid, Auchan and other legal entities. The full list covers 31 companies.
Le Monlid LLC told AdIndex that it "has no official data from state authorities or additional information in connection with the issued decree."
"We have requested the relevant clarifications. <...> At present, the company and all of its facilities continue to operate as usual, without any changes," the company noted.
The managing structure is little known. L.E.V. Management JSC was established in Moscow in 2024; the company's shareholders are not disclosed.
The foreign owners of the affected assets are large European family groups. FM Logistic's main owners are believed to be members of the Foy and Machet families. The Auchan chain is owned by the Mulliez family.
The Mulliez family also owned the Decathlon sporting goods chain in Russia. Its successor, the Desport chain, has reduced its number of stores from 29 at the beginning of 2025 to 21 stores.
Comments from Nestle, Auchan and Leroy Merlin on the situation had not been published as of the time of publication.
