A Missile Destroyed the Dukachi Jewelry Production Facility in Kyiv
On the night of September 24, a Russian missile completely destroyed the Dukachi jewelry production facility in Kyiv. The employees survived. The brand has released a gold charm priced at 6,500 UAH to raise funds for rebuilding.

On the night of September 24, a Russian ballistic missile completely destroyed a building in Kyiv that housed the jewelry production facility of the Ukrainian brand Dukachi. The company's founders reported this. All employees survived.
“Today our jewelry workshop was completely destroyed by a Russian missile. The people are safe — that's what matters most; we will rebuild the rest,” said the brand's founders, Anna and Yelyzaveta Knyzhenko.
What Is Known About the Destroyed Facility
Dukachi stores in Kyiv, Lviv, and Odesa continue to operate as usual. There may be delays in shipping orders — the brand's logistics have been restructured after the strike on the production site.
The Knyzhenko sisters spent eight years building the production facility. They founded the Dukachi brand in 2018 and funded it from their own resources from the very beginning. In the first four years, the sisters channeled up to 80% of their salaries into developing the business.
It was at this workshop that the jewelry motanka dolls and other pieces were created, making Dukachi one of the most recognizable jewelry brands in Ukraine.
The Recovery Campaign
The company is not halting operations. Dukachi has launched a woven charm for sale, with all proceeds directed toward rebuilding the production facility.
The new piece complements the brand's collection dedicated to traditional weaving from plant materials: willow, reed, straw, and corn in Ukraine and Europe; bamboo and palm leaves in Asia. For Dukachi, weaving serves as a metaphor for how people hold together: no thread holds on its own, only when intertwined with another.
The bracelet with the woven charm on a cord is made of 585-assay gold. The exclusive price of the piece is 6,500 hryvnias. The charm can be purchased on the brand's website and in its retail stores. Every purchase will contribute to rebuilding the workshop.
Significance for the Market
The case of Dukachi shows how Russian strikes on Ukrainian infrastructure directly affect small and medium-sized businesses, including the jewelry industry with its production cycles that require specialized premises and equipment. At the same time, the brand's response — launching a charity product instead of pausing operations — demonstrates a strategy of preserving its customer base and cash flow in a crisis.
The company built its production facility over eight years using the founders' own funds. The extent of the damage and the recovery timeline were not disclosed at the time of publication.
