Runway Releases AI Agent for Ad Creation and Analytics
Runway has launched the AI agent Runway Ads: it creates ad variants, publishes them on Meta, Google, and TikTok, and uses performance data for new creatives.

Runway, a startup developing generative models for video, today launched Runway Ads — an AI agent that creates ad creative variants and analyzes their performance across multiple platforms simultaneously. The first launch partner is Lovable, an AI application development platform.
Runway Ads operates within the company's web application. The agent connects to a brand's ad accounts on Meta, Google, and TikTok. After that, it can recreate existing ad videos, generate variants, adapt them for local markets, and publish human-approved versions.
The service's key feature is its closed loop. The agent pulls campaign performance data back from the platforms and uses it in preparing the next creative iteration. In this way, Runway covers not only video production but also distribution and analytics.
"The number of platforms where brands need to be present, and the audience they need to reach, are growing exponentially," said Jamie Umpherson, Runway's Chief Creative Officer.
The launch intensifies competition in the AI video generation market. Runway, known for its text-to-video models, is now explicitly positioning itself as a tool for the advertising industry, not just filmmaking and design. Integration with the three largest ad ecosystems — Meta, Google, and TikTok — makes the company's offering practical for brands running multichannel campaigns.
Lovable's participation as a launch partner highlights Runway's focus on fast-growing technology clients. Lovable is a platform that allows users to build applications using AI.
The Runway Ads workflow assumes that humans retain control over publishing: the agent releases only approved versions of creatives. What gets automated is the production of variants, localization, and data analysis — tasks that traditionally require a team of producers, designers, and media analysts.
For the advertising market, the launch means a further shortening of the creative production cycle. While A/B testing of videos used to take a studio weeks of work, an AI agent prepares localized variants and launches them in minutes, then adjusts the next batch itself based on platform metrics.
