Uzbekistan Shows Mirziyoyev the First National Car Brand DOST
Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev saw the project of the first national car, DOST. ADM plans to show the prototype of the passenger model in early 2027.

Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev saw the project of the first national car under the DOST brand. The demonstration took place on September 30 at New Uzbekistan University, the head of state's press service reported.
According to ADM Global, the presentation was held as part of an exhibition dedicated to reforms in education. In photos published by the press service, Daniyar Davletiyarov, general director of the ADM group of companies, can be seen accompanying the president during the visit.
A Laboratory Instead of a Factory
ADM's technical laboratory is located directly at New Uzbekistan University. Students, together with engineers from the ADM Jizzakh plant, are participating in the development of the future car. The project combines the educational process and engineering practice: the university's facilities are intended to integrate students' theoretical knowledge with research activities and real projects.
ADM is already developing a hybrid car concept and preparing a production site. The company plans to present the first prototype of the passenger DOST in early 2027.
Strategy: Commercial Vehicles First
In the first stage, the DOST brand will enter the light commercial vehicle (LCV) segment, in particular minibuses. The company explained the logic as follows: this step will make it possible to assess demand for the national brand, refine product and marketing decisions, and prepare for the next stage — creating a passenger car.
Context of the Visit
Mirziyoyev visited the university as part of a review of educational reforms. The head of state was shown a presentation on lifelong learning and reforms at all stages of education — from early childhood to vocational training.
The president also toured the university's educational and research infrastructure: the Future Engineers site, the Bloomberg laboratory, a physics teaching laboratory, an engineering sciences hall, and the Apple Training Center. He was shown the work of the IDROCK artificial intelligence cluster, laboratories for biotechnology and bioinformatics, materials science, laser and nanotechnology, as well as the ADM mechanical engineering laboratory.
In addition, Mirziyoyev spoke with the faculty, students, and the university's foreign partners involved in international educational programs.
Market Background
The DOST project is unfolding against the backdrop of a growing automotive industry in Uzbekistan. China's BYD has doubled car production in the country since the beginning of the year.
