Lithuanian startup Holo has raised €5 million in investment to develop its marketing automation platform for small and medium-sized businesses. The lead investor of the round was the Polish fund Market One Capital. This was reported in the company's press release. Prior to this stage, the startup had raised a total of less than €1 million, meaning the new round exceeds the company's entire previous funding history by a multiple.

The round also included the Lithuanian venture fund FirstPick, the business angel syndicate NGL Ventures, and US-based management companies — Silicon Gardens, Leonis Capital, and Tekton Ventures.

What the platform does

Holo analyzes the client's business activities and communications and, based on this, creates an individual marketing plan. The platform then generates advertising materials, social media posts, email campaigns, and SEO content. It also adjusts marketing priorities based on results from each channel, essentially taking over the "plan — test — adjust" cycle that typically requires a team of specialists.

According to the company, the platform already serves more than 20,000 users across over 100 countries. Holo claims to have reached the $5 million annual recurring revenue (ARR) milestone.

Why the market needs another marketing tool

Aleksandras Urbanavičius, co-founder and Chief Growth Officer of Holo, describes the problem as follows: small business owners lack the time and resources for marketing, and hiring specialists or agencies is too expensive for most of them.

"In just a few years, small businesses will be able to run marketing the way the world's biggest brands do — with clear plans, constant testing, and informed decisions every two weeks. This investment is intended to make this level of marketing accessible to small businesses and run it on autopilot," Urbanavičius said.

The investor's position adds to the picture. Michał Mroczkowski, partner at Market One Capital, explained that the decision to invest in Holo was driven by the founders' marketing experience and the company's initial operating results.

"Today, creating content costs almost nothing, but to understand what actually turns into sales, you need to understand the market and have practical experience," Mroczkowski said.

What the raised capital will change

The funds will first and foremost go toward expanding the team. The company plans to hire:

  • Software engineers;
  • SEO and marketing specialists;
  • Video content creators.

According to the Lithuanian social insurance fund Sodra, UAB Holo LT currently employs 17 people under employment contracts. This means that in the coming months, the staff could grow several-fold if current hiring rates continue.

Company background

The startup was founded in Vilnius last year. Co-founders are Aleksandras Urbanavičius, Deividas Kovger, Karolis Vaiginis, and Arnas Puidokas.

For B2B practitioners, the deal is yet another signal: the market of "autopilot marketing" tools for SMBs is consolidating around platforms that combine content generation with sales analytics, and venture capital is eager to fund this trend.
