Meta* plans to release a wearable device called Muse Charm by the end of 2026 — a palm-sized amulet in which the company's Muse AI agent will 'live.' The presentation of the device was given by co-founder and company head Mark Zuckerberg; TechCrunch reports on the plans, citing the presentation shown.

Visually, the gadget resembles a Tamagotchi. The device is not ready yet: according to Zuckerberg, the team is finishing the development of the components. Muse Charm can be carried in a pocket or attached to a keychain.

The amulet is equipped with a small screen displaying the Muse avatar. The user talks to the device and gives it tasks, which the AI agent then carries out. There is no need to unlock a phone or open an app for this.

'We packed all of Muse's functionality, including real-time voice control and the avatar, into a device that is always available for conversation,' Zuckerberg noted during the presentation. 'You just touch the fingerprint scanner in the corner, and you can start talking — without unlocking your phone or opening an app.'

In this way, Meta* is betting on constant access to an AI agent without a smartphone as an intermediary. The fingerprint sensor in the corner of the body is the only control element before starting a conversation.

It was previously reported that Meta*'s Muse AI assistant was banned from purchasing goods on Amazon at users' requests.

*Meta, as well as the company's Facebook and Instagram social networks, are recognized as extremist and banned in Russia.
