Yandex Restores Advertisers' Access to Direct Cabinet
On October 15, Yandex opened access to the Direct cabinet: campaigns can be launched and stopped, and balances topped up. But statistics are incomplete and settings cannot be edited.

On October 15, Yandex restored access to the personal cabinet of its advertising service Direct — on the website and in the mobile app. The company's press service reported this. The cabinet is still operating in a limited functionality mode, but the main operations for advertisers are once again available.
What can be done right now?
Advertisers can:
- launch previously created campaigns;
- stop active campaigns;
- top up their balance;
- set weekly budget limits on the general account.
At the same time, statistics may be displayed incompletely, campaign settings cannot be edited, and some tools are unavailable. The reason is damage to data centers: part of Yandex's computing capacity has not yet been restored, data is being processed more slowly, and reports in the interface may not contain all the information.
What is happening with automatic strategies?
Advertising strategies continue to run and learn, relying on data from the last 28 days. According to the company's estimates, the volume of information accumulated before the outage is sufficient to maintain promotion efficiency.
Alexey Shtokolov, Director of Products and Technology at Yandex Advertising, explained that infrastructure damage could have affected the efficiency of certain campaigns, and automatic strategies need time to adapt.
"Usually, advertisers give algorithms several weeks to accumulate statistics, but existing campaigns already have data collected before the outage, so adaptation should take less time," he noted.
The company recommends not stopping campaigns. For questions about expenses and tool performance, users should contact support or their personal manager.
What happened during the outage?
From October 11 to 14, while the Direct interface was unavailable, previously created campaigns continued to run: ads were shown in Search, Maps, and on YAN sites, generating leads, inquiries, and sales. Spending was counted in compliance with daily and weekly limits.
Engineers continue to restore the full functionality and stability of the advertising system. The company promises to keep users informed of further changes.
