Yandex's Search Services and AI Advertising Revenue Grew 9%
Advertising revenue of Yandex's Search Services and AI business group grew 9% year over year. Revenue from DOOH, Connected TV, and messenger advertising rose 72%.

Advertising revenue of Yandex's Search Services and AI business group grew 9% year over year in the third quarter — above market analysts' forecasts. In the fall, the Okkam agency estimated the growth of traditional advertising segments at only 6% for 2027. Yandex beat the consensus.
What drove the growth
The company attributes the dynamics to three factors: improved efficiency of advertising tools, growth in certain advertiser segments, and active development of ad formats. Brief. Clear. But behind the general wording stand specific categories.
Among commercial industries, budgets were increased primarily by:
- "Entertainment" — up 37%;
- "Information technology" — up 22%;
- "Medicine and pharmaceuticals" — up 21.4%.
The entertainment segment added nearly two-fifths over the year. This is the fastest growth among all commercial categories in the reporting period.
How new formats and foreign budgets grew
Revenue from actively developing formats — DOOH, Connected TV, and advertising in messengers — increased 72% year over year. Inventory expansion and efficiency gains made this part of the business the fastest-growing segment in the report.
The second external driver is foreign advertisers. Over nine months, their budgets in Yandex services grew 62% year over year. Average monthly investments per advertiser increased 1.5-fold. Businesses from China, Kazakhstan, the UAE, Turkey, and Uzbekistan invest the most in promotion through Yandex's advertising services.
Small and medium businesses also contributed: investments in advertising on Yandex Maps grew 12.5% year over year thanks to the development of new audience engagement scenarios.
What neurotechnologies changed in Direct
Based on the results of the first nine months of 2026, neurotechnologies significantly improved conversion rates in Yandex Direct. The service's overall conversion rate grew by an average of 20–25% compared to the same period last year.
This refers to the aggregate dynamics across all advertising campaigns. The results of individual campaigns may vary depending on niche, settings, and budget — Yandex itself includes this caveat in the report.
What this means for the market
The quarter's bottom line: double-digit growth rates in new formats and among foreign clients, a double-digit increase in conversion in the core advertising product, and overall growth of 9% — noticeably above market expectations for traditional segments.
