51% of Russian companies are not increasing their marketing budgets
Since the beginning of 2026, 51% of Russian companies have not increased their marketing budgets, while more than 80% have raised prices. Business is protecting margins, not demand.

Marketing budgets have remained unchanged at 51% of Russian companies since the beginning of 2026. These figures come from Forbes, citing a study by analysts at Action Finance.
The survey covered 527 representatives of Russian businesses from the trade, industrial, and agricultural sectors across various regions of the country. Two-thirds of respondents — 65% — work at companies with an annual turnover of more than 1 billion rubles.
The budget picture looks restrained. At 32% of companies, monthly marketing expenses have grown by no more than 10%. Only 17% have increased their budgets by more than 10%.
At the same time, businesses' pricing policies are far more aggressive. More than 80% of Russian companies have raised prices for their services since the beginning of 2026. By August, 84% of those surveyed had already revised their price lists.
Not everyone will continue raising prices through the end of the year. 37% of companies plan to increase the cost of their services further. The remaining 63% of business representatives said they do not intend to revise prices again.
Among those who do plan a new increase, the majority prefer a moderate scenario: 65% intend to limit the growth to within 10%, while another 26% plan to raise prices by 10–15%.
The study's authors note an imbalance: in 2026, businesses are noticeably more active in protecting margins through price increases than in investing to support demand. For most players, marketing spending is either not growing at all or remains within inflationary levels.
This is consistent with earlier data on the structure of the advertising market. 41% of advertisers have increased their advertising budgets on marketplaces. Since the beginning of 2026, the market has shown a shift toward e-commerce platforms.
